Lance Delgado

Percussion Music Composser / Caption Head

Lance Delgado received his Bachelors Degree in Music, specializing in Percussion from California State University at Northridge. He studied with Joel Leach, Karen Erving, and John Magnussen. He also did extensive study in African drumming, Brazilian drumming, steel drumming and jazz vibraphone.

Lance served as Percussion Caption Head for the Cal State Northridge Matador Band from 1990-1998 where the winter drumline won 8 Southern California indoor & outdoor championships. After marching for 5 years with the Sacramento Freelancers Drum & Bugle Corps, Lance returned as the instructor of the front ensemble, teaching and writing with Ralph Hardimon. The following year, Lance was promoted to Percussion Caption Head.

Lance served as Percussion Director at Thousand Oaks HS and John Burroughs HS from 1994-2008 where the two schools won a combined 10 Southern California indoor, outdoor and concert championships. Thousand Oaks HS also traveled to Indianapolis twice and advanced to the semifinals at BOA Grand Nationals both times. In 2003 and 2004 the Thousand Oaks HS Drumline traveled to Dayton, Ohio where they advanced to the finals in the Scholastic World Division.

Lance also served as the Percussion Designer and Caption Head at El Camino Real Charter High School from 2008 to 2017, where he created an indoor percussion program that began by winning the gold medal in the ADLA Novice Class in 2009, to culminating in performing in SCPA Championship Finals in 2015.

Lance is currently the Percussion Caption Head at Nobel Middle School, and Director of Percussion for St. Genevieve Parish Schools, where he directs the percussion programs for St. Genevieve Elementary School, and St. Genevieve High School. St. Genevieve HS is the 2015 SCPA PSCA Class Silver Medal Winner, and the St. Genevieve Parish Schools Percussion Ensemble qualified for SCPA Championship Finals in 2017, in only their first year in existence. Not only is St. Genevieve ES the 2015 SCPA PSJ Silver Medal Winner, but in 2012, after winning the gold medal at SCPA Championships, St. Genevieve Elementary School traveled to Dayton, Ohio where they became the very first elementary school to compete in WGI World Championships, competing against high schools in the PSA Class, where they outscored 25 high school drumlines. Nobel MS is the ADLA Junior Advanced Division Bronze Medal Winner in 2016, Silver Medal Winner in 2014, 2017, and the Gold Medal Winner in 2012,
2013, and 2015.

Lance also composes and arranges for countless schools and organizations all across the country.

Christopher Truitt

Front Ensemble Manager

Christopher Truitt is a percussionist, educator and composer from Fresno, California. He received a Bachelor’s of Music degree in performance from California State University, Northridge where he studied under John Magnussen, Dr. John Roscigno and Jerry Steinholtz. Along with his classical and world percussion training, Christopher has been involved in the marching arts as a member of Pulse Percussion Ensemble 2012.

Christopher is an active music educator in the Los Angeles area and has held positions at numerous programs in the Los Angeles area. His experience in education spans from elementary through high school students and his ensembles have earned prestigious honors such as SCPA finalists, SCSBOA finalists, ADLA Advanced Champions and WBA finalists. Christopher Is currently the Director of Music at St. Genevieve Elementary School and the front ensemble arranger and manager at La Canada High
School.

Andrew Ramirez

Front Ensemble / Sound Design

Andrew Scott Ramirez is currently the front ensemble manager at Valencia High School Valencia, CA), West Ranch High School (Stevenson Ranch, CA), and Percussion Co-Caption Head for Granada Hills Charter High School (Granada Hills, CA). He is beginning his thirteenth year as an educator of percussion pedagogy and his eighth year as sound engineer/technician within the marching activity.

Andrew is an alumnus of Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps, performing with the ensemble from the summers of 2004 to 2006. He was also a member of Pulse Percussion PIW) for the 2006 and 2007 seasons. In addition to that, he has been a member of various pep bands, symphonic bands, concert bands, orchestras, percussion ensembles and even a barbershop choir.

Andrew has been available not only as a percussion educator but also as an
aesthetic/floor designer with his business, INDOOR IMAGE, and sound engineer. He has had the pleasure to work all over Southern California with various high schools, The Velvet Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, assisted in leading Full Force Percussion (PIA) to WGI Championships in 2008, winning a silver medal as the front ensemble instructor, show designer, and uniform designer, and most recently assisted with Odyssey Percussion (PIO) as a sound engineer helping them achieve semi-finalist status at the 2017 WGI Championships during their debut year of performance.

Gabe Dulek

Snare Drums / Battery Manager

Gabe began teaching drumlines and teaching snare lines right out of high school. He then on went on to march snare at RCC, Esperanza, and Santa Clara Vanguard. Gabe graduated at the top of his class with a degree from Musicians Institute in Audio Engineering and worked at a commercial recording studio in Hollywood after his years teaching. He worked with artists such as Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Nas, Godsmack, and Snoop.

Gabe is currently the head technician at microphone manufacturer Royer Labs in Burbank. He works with and records many local bands as well as playing drums in his own band, and loves creating music. Gabe is excited to apply everything he has learned from the music industry back to drumline. Sound quality, attention to detail, passion, and musicianship are universal skills he wishes to pass on.

Daniel La France is currently working on his Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance at the University of California, Los Angeles. He also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Percussion from California State University, Northridge. He has performed with the UCLA Marching Band, Gold Drum and Bugle Corp, and the Pasadena City College Marching Band and Drumline. He has experience teaching drumline at both the high school and college level. He currently lives in Burbank.

Elaine Ngo

Cymbals

Elaine Ngo started playing cymbals at Pasadena City College and was a part of their fall marching band from 2013 to 2016 and their winter percussion program in 2015 and 2016. She also marched and aged out at Gold Drum and Bugle Corps in 2016 and at Broken City Percussion in 2017, where the ensemble earned their first gold medal in SCPA and a silver medal in WGI.
